The national society was founded in 1929 and membership is one of the highest honors that can he bestowed upon a middle school student. The NJHS has worked hard to bring the accomplishments of outstanding students to the attention of parents, teachers, peers, and community. In more than 5,000 middle schools across the country, chapters make every effort to give practical meaning to the Society’s goals of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character.

Student Council

Founded on the principle of altruistic community service, we are stepping out of ourselves and leaving a gentle footprint on the heart of our world.

The dedication of our STA Student Council is surpassed only by its altruistic tenacity – from serving our country’s military, caring for our state’s homeless children, filling the food pantries in our neighborhood, to bringing a hug to children in crisis. We are our brother’s keeper.
